Art and Design Curriculum:

K. S. 3.

Pupils are given the opportunity to work in a very wide range of media (most of those mentioned above ).  Programmes of study use a thematic approach and comprise of varying units of work to encourage and foster a progressive learning experience in this subject.

K.S.4.

At this level, pupils follow the syllabus for N.I. G.C.S.E. Art and Design. The syllabus comprises of three elements of coursework, plus an externally set assignment.

Fieldtrips:

 

 

At KS3 trips vary according to units of work being  undertaken, and often include trips to current exhibitions in Armagh, or visiting workshops run by local artists.

At KS4 we go to the annual G.C.S.E. exhibition in Belfast and drop into the Ulster Museum to take a gallery tour.

 
Art Club:

 

 

This is organised to complement different aspects of school life - from displays to fashion shows, from festivals to pantomimes – the list goes on ………!!!

Those involved have great fun and enjoy their varied  experiences !
