| All pupils study Home Economics at Key Stage 3 and through the syllabus they participate in a range of theoretical and practical activities. These are selected from the following areas of the syllabus: Family Life, Diet and Health, and Choice and Management of Resources. |

At Key Stage 4 we have two option groups, studying OCR Home Economics Food and/or Home Economics Child Development.

Year 8 pupils visited the Palace Stables, Armagh, to investigate Cultural Heritage; Year 9 pupils participated in a D.H.S.S. Dental Competition and were highly commended; and Year 10 pupils made and decorated a Christmas Cake. Year 12 have just completed internal-based assessments.
