School Rules

The following administrative rules are in place to help the school run safely and smoothly. All pupils are required to follow them.

Classroom
1 Line up outside classroom.
2 Enter room with teacher's permission and sit on allocated seat.
3 At end of class , ensure desk is in correct position and the area around it is neat and tidy.
4 Leave classroom in an orderly manner as directed by teacher.

Movement About the School
1 Walk in single file on the left hand side in school corridors and paths.
2 In doorways hold the door open for members of staff, visitors or fellow pupils.
3 If sent on a message to another classroom always knock the classroom door before entering and explain your presence to the teacher. Never address the class unless given permission to do so.
4 If you bring a packed lunch to school this must be eaten in the Assembly Hall.
5 Move quickly between classrooms at change of class, using the shortest recognised route.

Lateness, Absence
6 If absent your parent/guardian should give a written explanation of your absence from school. This should be produced immediately on your return to school.
7 In other cases, permission for absence must be obtained well in advance from the Principal.
8 In the case of dental and medical appointments, permission must be obtained from a Vice-Principal. Parents should send a note confirming the appointment, showing the appointment card is not sufficient.
9 Any pupil who has permission to go out during school hours must sign out at the office and sign in on return. Pupils should only leave school to keep appointments that cannot be arranged outside school hours.
10 If you are late you must report to the office. Persistent unpunctuality will be punished.

Uniform
11 School uniform must be worn at all times in school and on the way to and from it. 
JEWELLERY - a watch and one ring is permitted. If a girl or boy has pierced ears then one stud in each ear lobe may be worn.
12 All articles of uniform must be clearly marked with the name of the owner.

Valuables
13 Valuables should not be brought to school. Money, pens, PE kit etc should be carried with you and never left unattended in school bags, changing rooms or cloakrooms. Give money etc to the teacher before PE and other practical lessons as instructed.
14 Do not borrow other people’s property without their permission and never interfere with any property left on the premises if it does not belong to you.

All pupils are reminded that their enrolment into this school is dependent on the acceptance of the code of conduct and observation of all school rules, as is their continuance at the school. Alterations and additions to these rules may be made from time to time.
